Special Handling:

A group of hispanic males have been associated with numerous scrap metal thefts in the Boulder area since at least the Fall of 2019. Industrial businesses are usually victimized on the weekend and unsecured metal, pallets, tools, and vehicle catalytic converters have been targeted. Jurisdictions involved include: Boulder, Boulder County, Lafayette, and Broomfield, and items are known to have been scrapped in Commerce City. The males have used several different pick-up trucks, most commonly a black 1997 Dodge Ram pulling a yellow/black tandem axle flatbed trailer (neither of which have been seen in several months), and are most recently (01/2021) been associated with a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab, white over maroon/rust colored, with fictitious plates.
