On August 18, 2014, AT&T security posted an alert reporting the theft of 1,900 feet of fiber optic telephone cable from a job site. Shortly after receiving the alert, ACME Recycling Industries, Sanford, FL, provided the Volusia County Sheriff's Office with suspect information. The following day, based on the information provided, the Sheriff's Office was able to make an arrest and recover the property valued at approximately $1,000.
