On July 17, 2014, an officer with the Lakewood, CO, Police Department, issued an alert in reference to the theft of a bronze baseball themed statue valued at $5,000.  Employees at Action Recycling in Wheat Ridge, CO, recognized the item as one they turned away earlier in the week.  Action Recycling was able to provide police with video of the attempted transaction, resulting in an arrest and recovery of the statue.
