On 10-28-13, Detective Jacob Alderman of the Polk County Sheriffs Office in Winter Haven, FL issued a theft alert in reference to the theft of two pipe saddles valued at $2000.00. Detective Alderman stated that minutes after the alert having been broadcast, he was contacted by HAS Metal Recycling located in nearby Lakeland, FL. They advised that they had purchased both pipe saddles. They were able to provide Detective Alderman with all of the information on the transaction. The suspect was identified and subsequently arrested on multiple charges. The property was recovered and returned to the owner. Excellent job by both Detective Alderman and HAS Metal Recycling.
