If the wire has sheathing it will be marked with a small picture of a phone receiver in white, various ID numbers, and numbers describing the pair of the wire every three feet or so. If the wire is sheathed and not burned, it will have hundreds of tiny multi-colored strands covered in sheathing. If the wire is burnt, it may appear to shimmer in certain light with multiple rainbow-like colors, it will be hundreds of very fine small strands. It may appear clumped with melted sheathing existing, and sometimes dark spots. NO PERSONS are permitted to possess or sell this AT&T wire (no business entity, contractor, or other person is permitted to possess or sell the wire without have documentation that can be authenticated by an AT&T Corporate Security representative
