Subjects cut approx. 400ft of 400 pair (24 gauge) telephone cable from poles (200ft on 9-16 & 200ft on 9-18.) Stolen copper cable should weigh about 390lbs in total, but is typically cut into smaller lengths and recycled in amounts to avoid required reporting/payment laws. Copper cable is usually presented as #2 burnt copper after sheath is burnt off. Theft was to critical infrastructure, which could affect access to 911 service in the area of the theft.
