Telecom cable is easily identified even after the insulation has been burned off. Cable has 300 twisted wire pairs in 12 bundles of 25 pairs each. Even after burning the color coding is often visible on the wire. See attached photos.
Person of interest may have recently sold large quantities of burned telecom wire, as this is not the first theft in the Beattyville area. This telecom cable is the life line to customers who cannot afford cell service, so it is urgent that this theft be stopped.
Total value represents cost of repairing and replacing cable.
